Floating license service restarts 200 /300 times a day

We recently bought 5 licenses and set up a floating license server on a windows 2008 server.
Now, 1 week later we can see that the license service restarts +-250 times a day.

Hello.
The situation with CS_License Server software restarting every few minutes at the average is a rather strange. We tested its work under Windows 2008 server as well as most server OS. Please make sure CS_License Server doesn't conflict with other services, try to change Port ans increase Timeout to maximal value. Also CS_License server must be started with administrator rights and must be not blocked by firewall.

You can also try CS_License server software under virtual Windows 2008 Server If working under Server 2003 makes inconveniences in your works.

We installed it on a Virtual 2008 server but after 2 weeks it would reboot 300 times a day, thats why we moved it to a 2003 server !
I tried all the settings that you gave me, without any change!

Please specify if you installed CS_License server software on a non-virtual Windows 2008 server before installing on a virtual server 2008? If yes then another question. Are virtual and non-virtual Windows 2008 server OS's installed to one machine? The Windows 2003 server installed to another machine if I'm correct?

I just tried to learn if some conditions when such exception can appear. This because we tested under Win2k8 and all ok.

The first 2 weeks the server worked perfect, then after that time it became unstable and started to crash.
No modifications or updates were installed during that time.

The CS_License server app began to crush after two weeks on virtual machine but it wasn't runned under non-virtual Win2k8server if I uderstood situation correctly? Please let us know.

We're just started retesting CS_License server under virtual Win2k8 64bit.

The testing showed positive results: Floating License Server is stable under Win 2k8 64 bit and Win 2k8 32-bit no matter virtual or not. The testing period is more than a month for each OS. We couldn't recreate described situation and not found any dependence from working time.

Generally Floating License Server will restart after same time periods if it blocked by firewall or security policy. In that case restarting time will be equal to specified at services/application properties. If you have found Floating License Server restarting after unequal time periods, this means conflict with another servise very likely.

Floating License Server always must be installed from account with administrator rights.
