Match Properties

The Match Properties button copies the selected properties of the selected entity and applies them to one or more other entities. It is possible to match the following properties: color, layer, linetype, linetype scale, lineweight. Select the necessary entity and press the Match Properties button [Editor Tab -> Selection -> Match Properties]. In the classical menu the command can be found under the Tools > Modify section. By default all the available properties are selected for copying. To forbid copying some properties uncheck the corresponding fields in the dialog box "Select Properties". The dialog box is called via the context menu after specifying the initial object.

 

Example


1. Create a new drawing using File -> New menu item;
2. Add a Line (Editor > Draw);
3. Add a Rectangle (Editor > Draw);
4. Set the properties of the rectangle:
Color - Blue;
Lineweight - 1mm;
Line type - ISO dash dot;
linetype scale - 10:

5. Press Esc to deselect the rectangle;
6. Press the Match Properties button (Editor Tab -> Select -> Match Properties);
7. Select the rectangle with the left mouse button;
8. Right click over the drawing field and select the command Select properties... in the context menu;
9. In the opened dialog box uncheck the filed Linetype and press OK;

10. Select the line with the left mouse button;
11.press the Enter key. As a result the selected properties of the entity Rectangle will be applied to the entity Line. The property Linetype wasn't selected for copying:

Note: To apply the properties of the initial object to several entities, hold the key Shift pressed when selecting the elements and select the elements to which you want to apply the properties with the left mouse key. Pressing the key Enter ends the copying.
